About Beauty in Bloom
Beauty in Bloom Events was born out of my love for children. My daughter, Brooklynn, was the inspiration for focusing my efforts on empowering girls at all economic levels to reach their full potential.
By integrating community service into many Beauty in Bloom events, I hope to give the girls a life-long desire to give back. The Royal Ball teaches participants table etiquette and social grace, while contributing net proceeds to a local homeless shelter. Events are also sponsored specifically for underpreviledged girls to provide fun, enriching and empowering experiences.
As a Zumba instructor for kids, I sponsor fun fitness activities to emphasize the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The Zumba beach party is particularly popular.
Parents and others who are interested in sponsoring similar activities to empower girls may request free resources to assist in the planning. By offering support for events sponsored by others, I hope to have an impact beyond my own community.

Social Grace
​Teaching…. and reinforcing….polite behaviors helps to insure that our children will be desired company for their friends and gives them confidence in meeting new social situations with confidence. Children who grow up learning how to act in social settings are more likely to be successful as adults in work settings and at social events. Social grace is taught and reinforced in all Beauty in Bloom activities. The Royal Balls and Tea Parties are specifically tailored to teach table etiquette, good manners, and social interaction in a fun setting. From where to leave your napkin when leaving the table to which fork to use first, the children become confident and comfortable in social situations.
Healthy Lifestyle
Beauty in Bloom uses Zumba to promote a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of the children's lives by making it a fun social activity. Classes incorporate leadership, respect, teamwork, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination and cultural awareness. The children are motivated, energized and inspired by a licensed Zumba instructor who is specifically trained to work with children.
Leadership Skills
Children who are poised, confident and comfortable in their ability to express themselves have a powerful gift. Beauty in Bloom provides the opportunity for young girls to begin developing this important skill by teaching the basics of public speaking and leadership in a two hour workshop. The Introduction to Public Speaking workshop primarily focuses on building confidence by providing various scenarios in which the participants engage in speaking and interaction. The Public Speaking II workshop offers strategies for developing and delivering a prepared speech. The children receive an age-appropriate packet of information that they can use to practice the skills on a daily basis.
